Q: What is Escape Pollution?
A:
The
Escape Pollution project is a local online resource for residents of Kelowna who are
becoming environmentally
conscious and are looking for information on the eco-options that are available
throughout
the city. The project features a blog promoting local green news, products and
solutions along with tips for eco-friendly living. There is a forums area that
is used by the visitors to browse for specific topics and ask questions about
local environmental issues and experts from within the city can offer their
advice and tips to the rest of the community. There's also a Lively chat room
where visitors can discuss topics in real-time. The Escape Pollution project is also a
brand building medium for businesses in the community that are looking to build
an eco-friendly image. Visitors can see quickly on the home page which companies are environmentally
friendly. With businesses striving to be more environmentally conscious,
they have an outlet to promote their brand and products. The project offers an
online sponsorship model where businesses or individuals can promote their brand
and at the same time support the local environment. The sponsorship dollars will be used to 'escape pollution' initially
by financing a couple of Ford Escape Hybrid vehicles. The funds will
also be used to make energy-saving renovations to a couple of existing
homes. Then, the funds will be used to purchase a 'green home' that makes use
of renewable resources and energy efficient products. All of these will be done
in the beautiful city of
Kelowna.

Q: Why should I buy sponsorship space on
Escape Pollution?
A: First, your company's brand image will be associated with a local,
environmentally friendly website; companies on the home page are linked to being
conscious about the impacts on the environment.
Next, you will be promoting your products and services; with a relationship established, your environmentally friendly
products, solutions and actions will be mentioned in the blog first hand.
Also, you can introduce and market your green products and changes in
policies to a targeted audience; your company lifestyle changes can be discussed

and local visitors will see the sponsors on this site and this exposure becomes a great brand builder for the

New marketing tactics will be explored to bring visitors to the site using today's marketing toolkit to generate buzz
including word of mouth, viral marketing, local and national media interest and
social marketing.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The sponsorship cost is based
on the "Name-Your-Own-Price" (NYOP) model
where the sponsor specifies a monthly price for a sponsorship spot on Escape Pollution;
and the price is either matched or negotiated with a return offer. We understand
that different companies have different budgets when it comes to promoting their
brands. That is precisely the reason we have introduced this model where even
the smaller companies can promote their products and services without paying too
much of a premium. In addition, companies can be creative in their offered
price; they can provide a service and/or a product in exchange for brand exposure.
If a normal monthly subscription method is chosen as compensation then payment can be made easily and
securely using PayPal. The ad on the vehicle and the homepage will potentially be seen by
thousands of people locally, and in surrounding areas. Purchasing in the early
stages is recommended because as demand increases, so too will the price for
sponsorship space.

home page or this site, but rather you are given the opportunity to submit an image and link which will then be linked to from the home page.

• Images and links cannot be adult/obscene/offensive, and we decide what is appropriate for this site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you can provide an alternative, and if all else fails, your money will be refunded and you will lose your ad space.

• Funds must be fully received and cleared before your
ad goes live on the homepage; usually within 24-48 hours (unless ad space requests are high). The
virtual Escape Pollution Hybrid is updated once a week so your ad will
appear on the homepage right away but on the vehicle upto a week later. If you have any questions

page you cannot claim a refund (1st month's sponsorship cost) or change the actual image or
link.

• If the site is subject to a denial of service (DoS) attack then we can not be held responsible for not displaying the website and the ads on it. However, we will do our absolute best to get the site back up and running again. The site may
also encounter downtime for maintenance but this will be kept to an absolute minimum.

• The
price of a single ad block is determined by demand. As demand increases, the
ad price will increase (i.e. the return offer will be higher).
